There are some iconic places in NYC- Times Square, Central Park, Statue of Liberty and the Big Piano at FAO Schwarz. What better opportunity that be able to shop at the store and play around the piano in private?? That’s exactly what the ladies at Big City Moms did during the Spring Fling event. They invited a group of people on a Sunday morning before the store opened. It was absolutely amazing to see the store empty, it was definitely a treat to actually be able to see the toys and look around without worrying about someone pushing me around.
We arrived around 8:30 and my kids had never been to the store so they were in awe of the gigantic stuffed animals and the candy section of the store. Then we made our way to the second floor. There we a couple of sponsors including UrbanSitter, who had a face painting station for the kids. They also had a variety of Bagels and cookies for the everyone and even food pouches for the babies.
On the other side, by the stuffed animals there was a music performance by Little Maestros. The kids were loving this, especially the toddlers! My kids were obsessed with the car building section of the store. It actually took forever to get them to go on the piano because they were so involved with building their cars!
I think I enjoyed this event as much as the kids. It was just awesome to have the store empty like that but get the full experience. I am already looking forward to the next one!
