If you read my blog regularly, know me personally, check out my Facebook page, you know I spend a lot of time at Target on a weekly basis. So I figured I would share why Target is my happy place. So here is my list of reasons:

1. Target is one of the only places in NYC where there is available-free parking. This means I can drive and park in front of the store. This is important because if I have to go somewhere where I have to spend time looking for parking, and then walk with the kids it would be a waste of time for me.

2. I get everything I need. Clothes, groceries, essentials and hello that Dollar Spot is AWESOME! They have the cutest stationary and craft things ever. Plus everything is $1 or $3 can’t beat that!!!

5. My kids love it. They enjoy sitting in the cart and going through the store with me, granted they usually leave with a toy or a snack but it’s a win win for both all of us.

6. The clearance! Target has some of the best clearance ever. I am not lying when I tell you that you can get amazing deals like Mossimo jeans for $5 to Melissa & Doug toys for under $5.

7. Holiday items change every season and every holiday, this means there is ALWAYS something new at the store to check out and discover and love. I got so many cute things for Valentine’s Day and now the Easter stuff is adorable!

8. The clothes is actually good quality. In all seriousness, I’ve bought my kids $30 pants from the high end brands and stores and the $5-10 Circo and Cherokee jeans have lasted a lot longer than the expensive ones, the same with t-shirts and sweatshirts. It is definitely a no-brainer for me as a mom of 3 small children to shop at Target.

9. I actually like the styles they have for me! I can find jeans that fit me (although I’m still on the quest for the perfect stylish mom jean). Cute tops that most of the time I get for 50-70% off!

10. Hours! Target is open the latest around here so where can I go if I need anything at 9pm? Hello Target!!!! It is just perfect for me.

There are a million other reasons why me and thousands of other moms enjoy and indulge Target visits. It is an actual pleasant store, in my opinion and it has everything I need. I also go multiple times a week because I have 3 Targets around me in a 10 mile radius so if I’m looking for something in specific I have options. And did I mentioned they have a Starbucks? Yeah it’s my perfect combination I can have a Starbucks coffee while browsing isles of shopping. No stroller (since we use the shopping cart), and relaxed time. And if you go at the right times you increase chances of more clearance items!

I know a lot of people make fun of me because I should be taking the kids to the park instead of Target or Ikea (their other favorite store), BUT the truth is, Target is for me. Sometimes I go really early in the morning just to grab coffee, we’re never there for more than an hour and we do 20 million other things the rest of the week. Then I go by myself after their bedtime! Sometimes I have “momdates” at Target with fellow mamas!!! Anyways I hope I clarify some of the questions I get asked on the daily about my reasons for going to Target so much.
