OK, Seriously it has been frigid cold in NYC and what better time than to test out the Manito® USA Stroller Cover and Cozy Hand Muff. You would never think items like these would make such a big difference when you’re strolling around, well let me tell you if you live anywhere there’s a winter, you need these in your life. Manito® does have other covers for summer and spring (which are great) but I was more interested in trying the winter cover. They sent me the Castle Beta cover and I am in love.
The first thing I will point out is that the packaging is lovely. Believe it or not, for me packaging is very important. In the back it has all the instructions and in the front you get a legitimate picture of what the cover looks like. With this cover in particular I was impress that it came inside a travel case for the cover.
The Castle Beta cover has 3 layers of protection for your child. I like that the cover is mostly fabric but it has the 2 panels of clear so the child can have visibility. The fabric, of course is water repellant. It has 2 side windows and one in the front. The one in the front has a zipper so it can be opened. I can’t say enough good things about this cover. It is also easy to use. Just throw it over the stroller and clip the elastics. This is key to me, because a lot of rain and weather covers don’t have a way to attach it to the stroller so it moves if it’s windy and so on, this cover stays put and you can stroll unworried about wind blowing it away or child getting wet.
It also has an attachment in the bottom that can be removed and washed in the machine! This is the part that gets dirty from kids kicking it and getting in and out of the stroller. Of course, if you have a double, they have a specific double cover. In the pictures I am using the Britax Affinity. I had no problem attaching it.
This is a gorgeous cover. It not only performs good but it also looks good. This is important because when you spend a lot of money on a stroller to be confortable but also look stylish, you want the accessories to match. I got the bright, deep purple cover and it looks so good on the stroller. The same goes for the Hand muffs. They match the cover, which is super important to me! I need things to match. The hand muffs are AMAZING. The best thing is that they attach with clips and not apex. The reason I like the snaps instead of apex is because they hold better (in my opinion). The second thing to note about the hand muff is that you can use them in any stroller, single or double handle. I like that on the inside it’s easy to grip the stroller handle so you don’t loose any maneuverability. The outside is water repellent, like the cover, so it will protect from all the elements and it’s a one-size fits all so everyone will be able to use it. I should mention that you can also make it longer for more protection or you can fold it for a thicket wrist protection.
I am a fan! Honestly these products are definitely a bang for your buck at $75 for the cover and $40 for the hand muff is the best investment you can make for your stroller and child. Think about it this way, it’s a coat for your stroller, which is really for your childs’ protection. There are many other features that make this stroller cover awesome.
